Even though it is not well known, the Land and Water Conservation Fund has probably impacted one of your favorite places outdoors.
Using revenue generated by offshore oil and gas development, the LWCF conserves lands and improves outdoor recreation. It benefits local, state and national parks across the nation and makes trails and river access possible.
Every year, Congress decides how much money the LWCF gets. Also, like many laws, the LWCF has to be renewed every so often. Right now, the Senate is considering a bill to fully fund and reauthorize the LWCF.
For the sake of recreation, land conservation, local economies and much else, ask your Senators to support LWCF.
Some have already supported this bill, so you can show them your appreciation. Enter your zipcode below to either ask or thank your Senators for their support.
