Take Action: Thank Obama for Standing by Women’s Health
Last week the Obama administration stood with millions of women in announcing a revised position on birth control coverage under the Affordable Care Act.
Under the new policy, all employer-based health plans will be required to cover contraception without co-pays or deductibles except for plans offered to employees of religious institutions that meet the narrow guidelines for exemption. Religious organizations that are not exempt but have objections to covering birth control will not be obligated to provide contraceptive coverage. Instead, the insurance company will be responsible for providing contraception to those women at no additional costs.
After weeks of enduring heavy criticism from GOP candidates and religious leaders, the Obama administration remained firm in its decision to protect access to contraception for millions of women.
Thank President Obama for maintaining access to affordable birth control for all women – regardless of where they work!
